WARDOGS guides

Guides, economy breakdowns and tactics for WARDOGS mercenaries. Three factions, 100 players, one Control Zone.

WARDOGS is a large-scale warfare shooter where up to 100 players fight across a huge sandbox. It’s neither a battle royale nor an extraction shooter: matches are decided by decisions, communication and teamwork. There’s local voice chat built in.

Three teams, one zone

Three mercenary armies fight over a 2×2 km Control Zone at the same time, King of the Hill style. The zone spawns somewhere new on the 256 km² map each match, so no two games play out the same. The first team to 100 points wins.

Cash that carries over

You start with $10,000 and buy your own gear, weapons and vehicles every life. Revives, transport and holding the zone pay out, and your earnings carry over from match to match. A well-timed investment in heavy hardware can turn the battle and pay back big.

Play your way

No fixed classes — you decide how to fight and profit, and six class tracks level from whatever you use: a lone sniper in a ghillie suit, a helicopter pilot, an artillery tank commander or a builder of fortifications.

Destruction & base building

Bring down an apartment block with a rocket launcher or plough through a town in a tank. Or dig in and turn a position into a fortress.

A player-driven sandbox

No script: firefights, paid rides, supply runs and fortifications — everything on the battlefield is made by the players themselves.

Three factions

Every match pits three mercenary forces of 33 against each other:

  • Lonestar — blue, from the West;
  • Valkyra — red, from the Soviet People’s Republic;
  • Manticore — green, from the Kingdom of Persia.

More about the factions

  1. Buy in. Spend cash on gear and, if you can afford it, a vehicle. Anything you buy can be lost.
  2. Move out. Reach the Control Zone on foot, by vehicle or on someone else’s helicopter. The map is huge — logistics matter.
  3. Fight for the zone. Every 10 seconds teams score for presence in the zone, and players in the Hot Zone count double. Towers and drills shift the Hot Zone.
  4. Get paid. Cash comes from kills, revives, transport, supply and time in the zone.
  5. Cash out. Your balance carries into the next match, and before the season ends you can exchange cash for gold.
