What is WARDOGS

WARDOGS is a team-based first-person shooter by Bulkhead, published by Team17 and built on Unreal Engine 5. It is inspired by the popular “King of the Hill” mod for Arma 3. PC Early Access launched on 10 September 2026; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for 2028.

  • 100 players per match, split into three teams of 33.
  • All three teams fight over a single Control Zone measuring 2×2 km.
  • The zone spawns at a random spot on a large 256 km² map — a mountainous industrial region of Eastern Europe.
  • Teams earn points for presence in the zone. The first team to reach 100 points wins.

Everything costs money. There are no fixed classes or starter kits: you buy weapons, ammo, attachments, gear and vehicles with cash earned in combat. Every death means lost equipment, so every decision has a price. See Economy. The game’s six classes are progression tracks levelled by what you do — see How classes work.

No microtransactions. There is no item shop and no battle pass — money is in-game only and can only be earned by playing.

Destruction and building. The environment is destructible, and players build Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) that need to be kept supplied.
