The Control Zone
Everything in WARDOGS revolves around one spot on the map — the Control Zone. Understanding its rules matters more than your aim.
Control Zone
Section titled “Control Zone”- A 2×2 km square that spawns at a random spot on the 256 km² map.
- Every 10 seconds, teams earn points for having players in the zone.
- The first team to reach 100 points wins.
Three teams fight at once, so while two teams trade blows, the third can quietly farm points. Keep an eye on who’s leading and don’t let them run away with it.
Hot Zone
Section titled “Hot Zone”Inside the Control Zone there is a smaller Hot Zone. Players inside it count double. That’s where the fiercest fights happen.
Towers, codes and drills
Section titled “Towers, codes and drills”The zone contains towers. Each captured tower gives one digit of a code. Enter the full code on a tower you hold and your team starts the drill — the Hot Zone crawls towards that tower. A fortified tower under the Hot Zone is the strongest advantage in a match.
How towers work, how to capture them and what squad holds them — see the Towers section.
Forward Operating Bases (FOB)
Section titled “Forward Operating Bases (FOB)”Players can build FOBs. A base needs continuous supply, which naturally creates work for drivers and pilots.
Practical tips
Section titled “Practical tips”- Scout first, then push. Work out which directions the other two teams are coming from.
- Be in the zone, not in its centre. Score depends on how many players you have in the zone, so every body counts. But all three teams shoot at the middle — take cover and positions nearer the edge, and use the destructible environment.
- Play the third party. Let two enemies wear each other down, then clean up and bank the points.
- Protect your logistics. Losing a FOB or a drill often decides a match faster than a firefight in the zone.
