Squad roles

WARDOGS has no mandatory classes: your role is your choice of gear and tasks. The game does have classes, but they are progression tracks, not restrictions. But a squad where everyone knows their job wins more and earns more.

The roles below are squad recommendations. They build on the in-game classes but don’t map onto them one to one.

  • Job: enter the zone and hold the Hot Zone.
  • Income: kills, assists, zone presence.
  • Loadout: a reliable firearm with few expensive attachments — assaulters die the most. Full guide — Assault.
  • Job: revive the wounded and keep the squad in the fight.
  • Income: revives, zone presence.
  • Loadout: medical supplies and a compact weapon for self-defence. Full guide — Medic.
  • Job: watch approaches, spot enemy squads, cover from range.
  • Income: kills and assists.
  • Loadout: a sniper rifle and a ghillie suit. Full guide — Recon.
  • Job: destroy the tanks and helicopters pushing the zone.
  • Income: destroying expensive enemy vehicles.
  • Loadout: a rocket launcher; move into position with cover. Launchers come from the Support class.
  • Job: move people and supplies, keep FOBs stocked.
  • Income: transport, supply, supply markups and tips.
  • Loadout: vehicles and supplies. The most underrated role, with the steadiest income. Full guides — Driver and Pilot.
