Known bugs

WARDOGS is in Early Access, and the developers haven’t fixed every bug yet. This section collects the ones you can fix yourself, with methods we’ve checked.

Bug list

Mouse wheel switches weapons while scoped	Scope magnification won’t change; the mouse wheel cycles weapons

Before any fix

• Close the game. Settings live in a file the game overwrites when it exits. Edit it while the game is running and your changes will be lost.
• Back the file up before changing anything. If something goes wrong, just put the copy back.
• The in-game “Reset to default” button doesn’t always help. It leaves some broken entries alone, and those have to be fixed in the file.

Where the game settings live

All settings, including key bindings, are stored in:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Wardogs\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini

How to open the folder:

1. Press Win + R.
2. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Wardogs\Saved\Config\WindowsClient and press Enter.
3. Open GameUserSettings.ini in Notepad.

The simplest reset

If you delete the file, the game recreates it with default settings on the next launch. That fixes almost any broken setting, but it resets all your settings: keys, graphics and sound.
