Driver
The Driver handles ground logistics: getting the squad to the zone, running supplies to FOBs, driving the spawn APC into the zone and, at higher levels, crewing a tank. The map is huge, and a good driver decides how fast the team gets back into the fight.
Driver levels only in ground vehicles: cars, trucks, APCs and tanks. Helicopters belong to the Pilot.
How to play Driver
Section titled “How to play Driver”- Don’t drive empty. Every passenger you deliver is cash and XP. Load up your squad before you leave.
- Deliver into the zone. Drop people in cover inside the zone, near its edge, not in the centre.
- Drive the spawn APC out. Once your team has 20 points, take the APC into the zone and park it in cover. You earn XP every time someone deploys into it. See Getting to the zone.
- Run supplies to FOBs. Bases always need building supplies and ammo — a job shared with Support.
- Avoid main roads. That’s where ambushes happen.
- Carry a repair tool. Vehicles in WARDOGS slide around a lot: a few hard hits and you won’t make it to the zone. Take a wrench or a drill so you can fix the vehicle yourself instead of abandoning it by the road.
- Fuel isn’t critical. A full tank covers a trip there and back, so you don’t need to carry a jerry can. If you do run low, refuel at a petrol station.
How Driver earns and levels
Section titled “How Driver earns and levels”- Passenger transport — cash and XP for every passenger delivered.
- Supply runs — delivering supplies to FOBs.
- Vehicle machine gun — the driver earns XP when the gunner scores kills with their vehicle’s gun.
- Spawn APC — XP for everyone who deploys into the APC you drove out.
| Action | Payout |
|---|---|
| Tactical drop of a squad from a Kodiak [M249] in the Hot Zone | +$2,000 (our data) |
| Storing supplies in a FOB stockpile in the Hot Zone | +$1,800 (our data) |
| Refuelling | −$5 (our data) |
A car pays more per drop than a helicopter: community data puts a ground passenger at $500 against $150 by air, and that amount is multiplied in the zone. Our $2,000 was a single passenger dropped in the Hot Zone. All the numbers are in Income by action.

Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”- Driving empty. An empty vehicle to the zone is lost money.
- Driving without a repair tool. A couple of hits in a slide and the vehicle dies before reaching the zone.
- Hauling a jerry can. Fuel covers a round trip — use the space for a repair tool instead.
- Abandoning the vehicle at the zone. Go back to base for the next group — you’ll earn more.
- Dropping the squad in the zone centre. Unloading under fire from three teams gets every passenger killed.
- Buying a tank too early. The L2A6 unlocks at level 35 for $500,000 — it’s the last goal of the track, not the first.
