Squad composition

One player can capture a tower, but only a squad can hold it once the Hot Zone arrives. What follows are our recommendations, not game rules.

Role How many Job at the tower
Assault 2–3 Clearing floors, holding the stairs and the control room
Medic 1 Revives right inside the tower — double pay in the zone
Support 1 FOB, fortifications, an LMG on the approaches, the mortar
Recon 1 Spotting incoming enemies from the zone edge

Logistics players — the Driver and Pilot — usually work for the whole team rather than one squad. Their job is bringing people and building supplies to your tower.

1. While towers are on cooldown (match start)

Section titled “1. While towers are on cooldown (match start)”
  • Support sets up a FOB at the tower closest to base and starts fortifying.
  • Logistics hauls building supplies and people.
  • Recon takes a position overlooking the tower approaches.
  • Assault holds the approaches so other teams can’t dig in nearby.
  • Assault clears the tower bottom to top; one of them takes the computer.
  • Medic follows right behind and picks up anyone who goes down inside.
  • Recon spots whoever is approaching the tower.
  • Support covers the entrance with an LMG.
  • Assault holds the stairs and the control room: to retake the tower, the enemy has to clear it from inside.
  • Support finishes the fortifications and works the mortar on the approaches.
  • Medic stays inside the perimeter.
  • One player is in charge of the digits: they note them and pass them over squad voice (J).
  • Enter the code once everyone is in position. The Hot Zone will crawl to the tower, and the other two teams will follow it.
  • While the Hot Zone sits on your tower, everyone stays in the zone: every player there counts as two.

Holding a tower with a small squad is hard. Play for speed instead:

  • Assault + medic (+ recon or support if you have one);
  • capture a tower → report the digit → move on to the next one without lingering;
  • retake enemy towers to break their code.
